LONDON, UK: BDIA Dental Showcase is a major trade show for the dental industry in the UK. Unfortunately, the ongoing uncertainty around future government restrictions and health advice have prompted the organisers, MA Exhibitions and the British Dental Industry Association (BDIA), to move the event from October 2020 to 27 and 28 March 2021. The event will still take place at ExCeL London and will offer dental professionals a valuable experience.

The organisers hope that the move will alleviate growing concerns that holding the event in October could be too soon for the dental profession and an industry battling all the pressures arising from the current crisis. According to them, moving the event to March will give dental professionals more time to reopen their practices and to see to the back-log of patients who could not be treated owing to the pandemic.

The postponement will give the dental industry extra time to prepare for the show, taking into account advancements in dentistry from global dental companies presenting at the International Dental Show in Cologne in Germany, which will take place just two weeks before BDIA Dental Showcase.

Finally, the BDIA and MA Exhibitions believe that, with practices closed, continuing professional development will be a core focus for the dental profession during the crisis and that moving the event to next year will allow them to deliver a valuable and worthwhile event that everyone has the opportunity and means to attend.

More information about the event can be found here.
