BIRMINGHAM, UK: The 2019 British Dental Industry Association (BDIA) Dental Showcase has opened its doors to dental professionals. The annual event is the largest dental trade show in the UK, and this year’s version promises a variety of hands-on demonstrations and lectures, and numerous opportunities for dental professionals to gain verifiable continuing professional development credits.
The 2019 BDIA Dental Showcase is being held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham from 17 to 19 October, and more than 350 exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate their latest equipment, services and technology. The event will aim at building upon the success of last year’s show, which had over 10,000 dental professionals in attendance.
New features at this year’s show include the Specialist Zone, which has been developed to cater specifically for dentists who have already specialised and for those who wish to learn more about such topics as maxillofacial surgery. A number of the UK’s leading dental specialist societies, including the British Society of Paediatric Dentistry, the British Orthodontic Society and the British Society of Prosthodontics, have representatives present in the Specialist Zone who are ready to chat with those interested in learning more.
The Practice Owners’ Lounge is another feature at the 2019 BDIA Dental Showcase. It is for the exclusive use of practice owners and allows them to have informal talks with peers or dental trade professionals in a relaxed, private environment. Furthermore, a networking bar is centrally located in the exhibition hall, where television screens enable attendees to follow various activities in the hall even when they have temporarily left the action.
Overall, the 2019 BDIA Dental Showcase is a place for all members of the dental team to learn and to share skills and tips to benefit dentists and patients alike. Dental professionals can still register for the event, which will continue until Saturday. Registration is free and can be completed here.
