LONDON, England: Dentistry Show London 2026 welcomed a record number of delegates to Excel London on 9 and 10 October, bringing together dental professionals for two days of education, networking and discussion of industry developments. Under the theme “Gain more, grow faster, get ahead”, 4,500 dental professionals from the UK and abroad gathered to discuss challenges facing the profession and explore potential solutions.
The programme featured more than 100 speakers delivering clinical and business content across six stages. It offered more than 100 hours of enhanced continuing professional development, tailored to practice owners, associate dentists, dental therapists, dental hygienists, dental nurses, dental technicians and practice managers. Areas covered included clinical practice, practice growth, leadership, well-being and developments in digital dentistry.
The following presentations and panel discussions were among the programme highlights:
“Live a fulfilled dental life”
Drawing on eight years of podcast conversations with dentists, Dr Jaz Gulati, a dentist and podcast host, explored why some lose their passion for the profession while others remain fulfilled for decades, and the habits that support professional satisfaction.
“Beyond the smile: Exploring the oral–systemic link and its role in overall health outcomes”
Dr Victoria Sampson, a dentist and oral microbiome researcher, discussed the links between oral health and cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cognitive decline, alongside strategies for prevention and early detection.
“What makes patients choose your practice? Standing out in a competitive landscape”
Chaired by Dr Trishala Lakhani, a dentist and television presenter, the session brought together Dr ManrinaRhode, a cosmetic dentist; Mark Topley, a leadership consultant; and Lucie Simic, a dental business consultant. They discussed factors that influence patients’ choice of dental practice, including team culture, communication, branding and the patient experience.
“Her journey in dentistry: Thriving through careers, life and everything in between”
Also chaired by Dr Lakhani, the session featured Dr Sarika Shah, a dentist and coach; Cat Edney, a dental therapist and educator; and Dr Ruth Baidoo, a dentist and mentor. They spoke about career choices, navigating setbacks and change, and the importance of financial literacy.
“Six months since the contract reform: What has changed and what’s next for the future of oral health”
Chief Dental Officer for England Dr Jason Wong, MBE, discussed recent policy and guidance changes affecting clinical practice following the introduction of reforms to the National Health Service dental contract.
Alongside the educational programme, more than 180 exhibitors showcased products for dental practices. Visitors could attend live product demonstrations and hands-on training sessions and learn about new technologies, materials and services for dental practices. The event also provided opportunities for professional networking, allowing delegates to reconnect with colleagues, establish new contacts and exchange ideas.
“Every year, we set out to build a programme that reflects what the whole dental team is really talking about, and this year’s show delivered exactly that,” said Océane Amoa-Thompson, senior content producer at CloserStill Media.
“From packed clinical sessions to honest conversations about well-being, leadership and the future of the profession, the energy in every theatre was incredible. It’s the speakers and delegates who make Dentistry Show London what it is, and we’re hugely grateful to everyone who shared their expertise, asked questions and joined in the conversation. We’re already looking forward to building on that next year,” she continued.
More than 100 speakers contributed to the educational programme at Dentistry Show London 2026, covering clinical practice, business development and challenges facing the dental profession.
