MANCHESTER – At the British Dental Conference and Exhibition, which took place from 10 to 12 April in Manchester, Oral-B showcased a number of innovations for dental professionals. Among other products, the oral health care company introduced its TEST DRIVE power toothbrush trial program, which allows multiple users to experience the company’s brushes and toothpaste using a shared handle in a hygienic way.
For the TEST DRIVE program, Oral-B developed specialised handles and refill heads featuring a protection system that helps prevent saliva from entering the handle, soiling of the handle, and facilitates cleaning and disinfection.
TEST DRIVE will be available in practices to a limited number of dental professionals for patient trials from July. Practitioners interested in participating should contact their respective Oral-B representative, the company stated.
Moreover, Oral-B showcased the company’s new CrossAction brush head, which transfers the company’s technology of angled bristles from a manual to an electric toothbrush. The bristles of the new CrossAction brush head are placed at an angle of 16 degrees, allowing for a deeper and more thorough approximal cleaning. The new SmartSeries toothbrush was also on display. It is the first interactive electric toothbrush to use Bluetooth 4.0 technology to connect to a smartphone application.
The next British Dental Conference and Exhibition will take place from 7 to 9 May 2015 at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.
