GLOUCESTER – Dental bur manufacturer Prima Dental has announced that it will be entering the Indian dental market with the launch of a full range of burs at the 2014 FDI Annual World Dental Congress in New Delhi. Aiming to bring a wider choice to India’s dental profession, the UK-based company will launch a range of 40 burs, including its flagship Predator range, to cover the complete spectrum of dental requirements for operative, surgical, endodontic and orthodontic use.

The company, which exports to over 85 countries worldwide, will promote its India launch at Stands A90 and A93 at the British pavilion at the FDI Annual World Dental Congress on 11–14 September.

Dan Hodgson, sales manager at Prima Dental, commented: “We are very excited to be entering the Indian market, and bringing the benefits of Prima Dental’s burs to India’s substantial dental profession and its patients. Our burs are known for their exceptional high quality, which makes them a precise and reliable tool for dentists to work with. Patients benefit hugely from procedures that can be carried out more quickly, and with a higher degree of accuracy, than most standard burs allow.”

Prima Dental is the first British dental bur manufacturer to invest and set up a sales and distribution channel in India. The company will work with carefully selected distribution partners to supply burs across the Indian subcontinent. The company’s distributors and sales teams in India will benefit from good sales support, short lead times and effective stock control.

Prima Dental’s launch in India comes shortly after the company made news by winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, the UK’s most prestigious business award, in recognition of its success in international trade. Awarded annually by HM The Queen, the coveted awards are only given for the highest level of excellence, and the recognition reflects Prima Dental’s international success and world-class products.

Hodgson said, “Our investment and entry into India marks a new chapter for Prima Dental’s ongoing expansion into the global dental market. We look forward to working with dental practitioners and professionals in India to bring them best-in-class products and an extended product range—and ultimately help deliver an enhanced dental and patient experience.”
