BIRMINGHAM, UK: A practice management program designed to increase productivity of dental practices is now available from digital solutions provider Carestream Dental. The CS R4+ Practice Management Software not only provides a number of new innovative features, but also displays key practice data in real time with a function called Springboard for the first time.

Focusing on Key Performance Indicators, such as occupancy and treatment, Springboard is aimed at helping practitioners understand and manage appointments better. This way unnecessary failures to attend can be avoided, the company said. It has also been designed to allow better control of the continual care of patients, with options such as automatically sending text messages as reminders.

Furthermore, CS R4+ Practice Management Software contains an all-in-one unit for signature capture (only available to customers in England and Wales), as well as a module for instrument tracking and mobile use of the software on iPhones and RIM BlackBerrys.

Credit card processing and online patient appointment booking have also been included.

The software is currently available for use on PC platforms running Windows Vista, 7 or 8. Carestream offers full UK-based support with its Managed Service solution, which allows the software to be entirely web based. According to the company, users will also be able to install and set-up the software locally by themselves, however.
