WARSAW, Poland/TUUSULA, Finland: In June, participants at the 90th Congress of the European Orthodontic Society in Warsaw in Poland had the opportunity to learn more about Instrumentarium Dental’s digital extraoral, intraoral and 3-D imaging systems. Among other products, the Finnish company showcased the ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP30, a digital panoramic X-ray unit designed for dental offices and small imaging centres, at the event, which is one of the largest gatherings of orthodontic professionals in the world.
According to Instrumentarium Dental, the ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP30 combines distinctive design and reliable quality with professional tools for standard panoramic imaging needs. It is the latest addition to the company’s well-known ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH product family.
The imaging system offers improved usability and better performance, allowing dentists to spend more time with their patients and less time with equipment settings. Correct patient positioning with three positioning laser lights and a rigid five-point positioning system keep the patient stable during exposure and reduce movement artefacts. The V-shaped X-ray beam adapts to the human anatomy, providing even greater detail and a wider mandibular image layer, also allowing more power for the thicker maxillary area. The OP30 features an integrated, user-friendly control panel that guides the user through the imaging procedure, rendering the workflow easy and convenient.
Instrumentarium Dental has been pioneering imaging systems designed for professionals for more than 50 years now. Today, the company offers a comprehensive range of advanced imaging systems, including the ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP300, its comprehensive three-in-one platform for advanced panoramic imaging with cephalometric and cone beam 3-D options, and the ORTHOPANTOMOGRAPH OP300 Maxio, which offers diagnostic information for the entire maxillofacial region.
MI Dental, part of Med Imaging, is the UK distributor of Instrumentarium Dental. The company provides equipment sales, maintenance and servicing on dental imaging equipment. MI Dental employs a large number of experienced engineers, who are trained in X-ray equipment, and two former radiographers to assist customers in applications training.
