BIRMINGHAM, UK: 3M Oral Care is dedicated to providing easy-to-use, cost-effective and high-quality solutions to dental professionals. At this year’s British Dental Conference & Dentistry Show, attendees have the opportunity to learn more about the company’s comprehensive portfolio, which includes solutions that help minimise chair time while maximising patient satisfaction, and its universal series in particular.
Over the next two days, delegates will have the opportunity to see 3M products in-person and discover more about how these can improve their daily work. In addition, they will be able to chat with the 3M team and receive samples. A special focus of the company’s presentation at the Birmingham event will be its universal series, which allows dental professionals to save time, reduce inventory and streamline their procedures.
The series includes Filtek Universal Restorative, which simplifies the creation of single-shade restorations with natural-looking aesthetics, high polish retention and excellent wear resistance. The eight universal shades cover the entire classical VITA shade guide thanks to the material’s shade matching technology. The pink opaquer shade allows clinicians to mask most dark or stained areas, such as stained dentine and metal work.
Another product in the series is Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive, a one-bottle system suitable for all direct and indirect restorations and etching techniques. This solution provides gold-standard adhesion to all dental substrates, including glass-ceramics. It can be used without a separate primer or silane.
RelyX Universal Resin Cement can be used as a sole self-adhesive cement or as an adhesive cement in combination with Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive. The two solutions help to eliminate the hassle of multiple resin cements, primers and adhesives, for ultimate simplicity. The automix syringe allows for 80% less cement waste, compared with similar products.
This year, Filtek Universal Restorative, Scotchbond Universal Plus Adhesive and RelyX Universal Resin Cement have all been awarded DENTAL ADVISOR awards in their respective product category.
