LEIPZIG, Germany: A free webinar, presented by the Dental Tribune Study Club on 30 July, will introduce a novel anterior restorative from the makers of Lumineers that is made from the patented Cerinate porcelain. The course speaker, Dr James Pasternak, will outline the application and advantages of the new technology, which facilitates durable and aesthetic restorations.
In the one-hour online course, Pasternak will elaborate on the benefits of the new restorative Duo:PCH by dental manufacturer DenMat. On the one hand, it allows for affordable, long-lasting restorations and permanently whitened teeth. On the other hand, Duo:PCH ensures that there is only minimal removal of the sensitive tooth structure in most cases and anaesthetic is rarely needed. Pasternak will moreover discuss cosmetic contouring and case selection criteria.
Pasternak, a graduate of the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of the University of Southern California, has practised family and aesthetic dentistry for over 35 years. He has studied with Dr Robert Ibsen, the founder of DenMat, since 1982, and has placed over 1,500 Lumineers since 2009. Pasternak lectures nationally for DenMat, as well as for local study clubs, on Lumineers, Snap-On Smile, VELscope, the SOL laser, and a variety of other dental topics, including practice management, team development, and sales and marketing techniques. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the American Society of Forensic Odontology, a special dental consultant to the state of California, and a member of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute.
The webinar, titled “Duo:PCH—A new choice for a beautiful new smile”, is free of charge and will be broadcast online on Thursday, 30 July, at 6 p.m. CEST. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic discussed.
Registration for the webinar is now open on the DT Study Club website, www.dtstudyclub.com.
