LONDON, UK: This year, Align Technology launched Invisalign Go, an aesthetic tooth straightening product specifically designed to meet the needs of general dental practitioners (GDPs). Recently, the Dental Tribune Study Club hosted a free webinar in which two experts explained the benefits of this new treatment option. For those who missed it, Drs Raman Aulakh and Barry Buckley will be back on 24 November to host another webinar on the aligner system.

Invisalign Go offers a simplified approach to Align Technology’s transparent aligner solution that allows more dentists to treat more patients. Following precise instructions, GDPs can now identify, plan and monitor aesthetic cases with clear aligners very easily.

The webinar will be presented by Aulakh and Buckley of UK-based company Aligner Consulting, with which Align Technology has partnered in order to provide dentists with personal feedback and support on aligner cases submitted via the Invisalign Go assessment system.

Aulakh has been an Invisalign provider since 2008 and has treated thousands of Invisalign cases. He is a specialist orthodontist, a tutor at King’s College London Dental Institute, an Invisalign Platinum Elite provider, an Invisalign clinical speaker, a key opinion leader for Invisalign, the author of the Master Class Series for Invisalign Orthodontists and the Director of the SAFE Orthodontics e-learning platform.

Buckley runs a cosmetic dentistry clinic in a private hospital outside Dublin in Ireland. Since 2003, he has worked with all short-term orthodontic appliances, but now works exclusively with Invisalign. Buckley provides both clinical and management support to a network of GDPs who all had no experience of any form of orthodontics before working with him. On average, they now achieve over 100 cases per year each.

The webinar, titled “Invisalign clear aligners—Engineering a clear way forward for general dentists”, will be broadcast live on 24 November at 7 p.m. GMT. Registration is now open at www.dtstudyclub.co.uk. Attendance is free of charge after easy registration on the website. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window. The webinar is sponsored by Align Technology.
