Glass ionomer cements at the centre of London meeting

LONDON, UK: Glass ionomer cements have significantly advanced in the last decade and have become a viable option for restorative dental treatment. Next week, researchers from all over the world are gathering in London to share and discuss recent developments in fields such as atraumatic restorative dentistry and biomimetic dentistry.

The third World Conference on Glass Ionomer Cements will be held at the Royal Holloway, University of London, and offer a dedicated programme presented by some of the world leaders in the field, including Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry professor Robert Hill and Dr Jo Frencken from the Netherlands. It will cover a wide range of topics, such as advances in glass ionomer cement chemistry and its potential for medical applications.
