BIRMINGHAM, UK: The British Dental Conference and Dentistry Show (BDCDS) will take place at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on 12 and 13 May. The event provides training, solutions and networking opportunities for all categories of dental professionals, including general dentists, dental surgeons, orthodontists, periodontists, dental hygienists and dental nurses. The organisers expect more than 10,000 visitors to attend.

The event promises more than 200 speakers, who will present their topics in 13 theatres, offering a wide range of clinical and business advice. Topics will include antimicrobial prescribing, management of tooth wear, treating patients with dementia, use of digital imaging technologies, equality and inclusion in dentistry, practice marketing, career development and team building.

Alex Harden, portfolio director of the event, commented on the programme: “We are delighted to host the event for another year, bringing dental professionals a wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise from some of the leading names in the dental world right now. In addition to clinical content, the wider programme will put a spotlight on many aspects of career development and business management. The topics covered will include help for dental hygienists to optimise their first few years in dentistry, an outline of the benefits of negotiation skills for dental nurses and advice for dentists who wish to move into orthodontics, build an effective team or become practice owners.”

In addition, the exhibition will give an overview of the fast-paced environment of dental products. At the 2023 BDCDS, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with more than 400 exhibitors, who will demonstrate their most current products, technologies and services.

“I would also encourage everyone to make the most of our more than 400 exhibition stands on the trade floor. At these, you can find the bespoke information and advice you need to truly maximise your investments. It is the exhibitors who help us make BDCDS such an amazing event,” said Harden.
