LONDON, UK: Since 2007, the Dental Tribune has been playing a major role in the UK’s dental publishing industry. After a short transition period, the new and improved edition will be launched at next year’s Dentistry Show in Birmingham in April, along with extensive online and social media activities, the publisher announced.
Editorial operations in the UK will be taken over by Dental Tribune International’s Group Editor, Daniel Zimmermann, and led from London. In addition to a modern and more accessible layout, the new, free monthly edition will provide in-depth coverage and analysis of the latest developments in UK dentistry, such as dental contract reform and the effects of the ongoing digitalisation of treatment processes on practitioners and dental labs.
The print publication will be complemented by a number of online elements, including weekly newsletters that reach up to 15,000 dental professionals in the UK and Ireland. As a bonus, Dental Tribune will also provide round-the-clock coverage of important national and international events, such as EuroPerio 8 and the BDIA Dental Showcase in London, on its UK website, www.dental-tribune.co.uk.
“There can be no doubt that Britain is one of the most important markets for dentistry in Europe. It also remains a substantial part of our global portfolio,” commented DTI President and CEO Torsten R.Oemus. “Our revamped UK operations will not only continue to enrich the national publishing scene, but also provide an international perspective that probably no other dental media outlet in the UK can.”
With media operations in over 90 countries, the Dental Tribune Group currently boasts the world’s largest network of dental publishers. In addition to an extensive portfolio of general and specialist dental media, it also provides dental education through its Dental Tribune Study Club in all major markets. In October this year, the group also held its first professional event, the Digital Dentistry Show in Milan, Italy.
