LEIPZIG, Germany: A new instrumentation technique, which is designed to improve safety, efficiency and user friendliness of shaping procedures, will be introduced in a webinar presented by the DT Study Club on 11 September. The live course, titled “TF-Adaptive making endodontic procedures easier, safer and more predictable”, is free of charge and gives all participants the opportunity to receive a continuing education credit.
The new and innovative motion is intended to combine the advantages of both reciprocation and continuous rotation, with a proprietary motor that automatically selects the best motion according to the complexity of the root canal anatomy. The webinar will explain the motion, the advantages over existing reciprocating motors and of Twisted File (TF) technology and design, as well as the newly developed sequence, which is specifically designed to both simplify procedures and allow clinicians to select their own way of preparing canals based on approach (crown down vs step down) and/or the selection of smaller or larger apical sizes, with the appropriate cone fitting. The webinar will also demonstrate the use of the M4 handpiece with the TF Adaptive motor to create a glide path, negotiate the root canal system and perform final irrigation.
The online course, held by endodontics professor and international lecturer Dr Gianluca Gambarini, will give participants an understanding of the benefits of TF Adaptive Motion, TF Adaptive instruments and sequences, and the M4 handpiece.
The webinar will be broadcast on Thursday, 11 September, from 1 p.m. CET. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit by completing an online multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic discussed.
Registration for the webinar is now open on the DT Study Club website, www.dtstudyclub.com.
