CAMBRIDGE – A woman from Cambridge in England has reported finding someone else’s dental work in a piece of blue cheese purchased at a well-known local supermarket to the Cambridge City Council. As she had been to the dentist the day before, the 42-year-old initially thought she had lost a piece of her own dental work and was shocked when the dentist did not confirm her suspicions.

“I was completely disgusted to find that it was in fact someone else’s tooth,” the woman told www.mirror.co.uk. After the incident, she had been very confused and had felt all around her mouth to establish where the piece of tooth had come off, she said.

The woman took the foreign object to her dentist, who confirmed that it was definitely a piece of dental work from someone else’s tooth. The dentist also informed his patient about the possible risk of bacteria.

The council has started investigating the case. The responsible supermarket has announced its full support of the investigations.

It is not the first time a large UK supermarket chain has been confronted with this kind of complaint. Only last year, a couple from Queenborough found a human tooth in a package of premium brand sausages.
