Learning outcomes will include

• Learn how Health Education England’s Advancing Dental Care scheme aims to supply a dental workforce with the skills to respond to the changing oral health needs of patients and services
• Gain an increased understanding of the new periodontal classification, and how this applies to the older population
• Have an increased awareness of the legislation around advancing decisions and do not resuscitate directives
• Increased awareness of factors to consider when providing dental care under sedation or general anesthesia for older people with multiple comorbidities
• Reflection  and considerations when treatment planning in older people
