BSPD Annual Conference 2018 - British Society of Paediatric Dentistry

On behalf of the Conference Organising Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 2018 BSPD Annual Conference which will take place, for the first time ever, in Dundee where our conference venue will be the historical Caird Hall.

Dundee commonly known as the City of Discovery, is undergoing a huge transformation at the moment with many exciting developments including the new V&A Design Museum scheduled to open immediately after our conference. This year’s theme, Design and Discovery, draws inspiration from this as dentistry involves not only the design of clinical care but also the design of research and particular highlights this year will include the Fiction trial design and outcomes plus a debate on the design of care as presented in participants abstract submissions which are now being sought (see the programme page for further information).

Once again we will also be offering a number of sponsor and exhibitor opportunities and we encourage affiliated organisations and suppliers to join us throughout the conference.

Finally, we hope you like our conference mascot this year – Oor Wullie – reproduced with kind permission of DC Thomson, publishers of the well known children’s cartoon comics the Broons, Beano and of course Oor Wullie. Working closely with the Archie Foundation – a charity which makes a huge difference to sick children in the North of Scotland – D C Thomson have been raising funds for this amazing organisation for many years. With this in mind we felt that we too would like to make The Archie Foundation our nominated charity for 2018.
