COPENHAGEN, Denmark: 3Shape has released a new version of 3Shape Unite, bringing cloud-based dentistry to a new level. All licences for this workflow engine have been moved to the cloud, and with a web-based portal and app, dental professionals can now access their data from anywhere.
Cloud computing has significantly simplified our lives, often without us even realising it. By upgrading to the third-generation 3Shape Unite, dental professionals who use 3Shape TRIOS scanners can now add much of that same simplicity to their day-to-day work. The new 3Shape Unite comes with cloud storage and has 3Shape Unite Cloud web and app functionality. It is gradually being rolled out globally, and the first responses have been very positive: “I am working in different dental clinics, so it will be a relief to access my 3Shape data from the cloud!” said French dentist Dr Fabien Calvet.
Cloud storage
Customers who are on the full-coverage TRIOS Care service plan have 10 TB of cloud storage available, whereas customers on the scan-only TRIOS Only service plan have 10 GB of free cloud storage.
Protection from data disasters
Cloud storage for patient data ensures security and accessibility. In case of device issues, the data remains safe, and the cloud platform allows healthcare providers to securely access patient information from any device with an internet connection.
Accessibility across all devices
Patient data is always accessible via 3Shape Account in the cloud. Whether in a typical operatory or moving between rooms, the flexibility of accessing this data from any device with an internet connection ensures that the dental practice remains seamless and efficient.
Seamless collaboration with colleagues on shared patient cases
Collaborating with colleagues on shared patient cases via 3Shape Unite enhances decision-making and patient care. The platform ensures that information flows seamlessly between professionals, minimising errors, increasing efficiency and ultimately improving patient outcomes.
Roll-out throughout 2024
This greatly improved version of the 3Shape workflow engine is gradually being rolled out for 3Shape customers. More information about availability and how to upgrade can be found on the website.
